Select Sound, Carmel Choirs’ a cappella group, will present Home for the Holidays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec 15. The event features Select Sound as well as featured performers from the Accents and Ambassadors show choirs.
The group will visit five beautifully decorated homes. The cost is $20. For more, visit carmelchoirs.org.
All proceeds will go to support Select Sound as the group raise money for its 2019 trip to Washington D.C. where they have been chosen to represent the state of Indiana at the National Festival of the States Annual Celebration.
This year’s ceremony includes special memorials for the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion at Normandy Beach during World War II, and is in conjunction with the annual Cherry Blossom Festival.
In April of 2019, Select Sound will perform for various Washington D.C. veterans’ facilities, as well as having the honor of laying a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier commemorating the 75th Anniversary of World War II.
Select Sound is trying to raise the money to help all 20 students afford the trip. In addition, Select Sound is available for hire to sing Christmas Carols at private functions and parties throughout the season. Contact [email protected] for booking rates and availability
