The April Teacher of the Month winner is Nate Truitt, a second-grade teacher at Traders Point Christian Academy. Student Lillian Heibult nominated him. As a reward, Lillian won a pizza party for her class, and Truitt won a $50 gift card for Market District, Teacher of the Month sponsor.
Here is Lillian’s winning essay:
“My 2nd grade teacher Mr. Truitt at TPCA should be the teacher of the month because he teaches us new stuff and makes learning fun. He had our class read biographies and I thought I wouldn’t like them and now they are my favorite books to read! He also helps tutor kids after school. What I love about him is that he greets my class every morning with hugs, and he plays with us at recess! What makes him special is that he comes to my dance recitals and my programs at church. Mr. Truitt loves us!!!”
