Robert D. Higgins, Jr., 67, Noblesville, died Feb. 25 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born May 15, 1948 to Robert and Eileen (Gray) Higgins in Elwood.
Robert was an excellent businessman, and founder and owner of Higgins Appraisal Group, Inc., established 2000. Rob enjoyed nature, sports and his family. He was the kind of man that lent a helping hand, would give all he had to a stranger and fed and sheltered any creature. To know Rob was to love him. He made friends wherever he went.
Rob’s strength was insurmountable as he fought to survive with all he had. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered as a husband, dad, papaw, brother, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Higgins; three children, Scott (Lori) Higgins, Angela (Pancho) Alvarez and Robert (Jennifer) Higgins III; brother Hal (Debra) Higgins; sister-in-law Debbie Stansberry; son-in-law John Edge; grandchildren Anna, Emily, Elizabeth, Natalie, Allison and John Robert; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kayli Dawn.
