James R. Arbuckle, 76, Noblesville, died Feb. 25 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born Feb. 23, 1940 to Russell and Julia (Chambers) Arbuckle in Indianapolis.

For more than 40 years, Jim worked in installation and repair for Overhead Door, retiring in 2006. Antique dealing was his passion and hobby, and he also enjoyed raising a garden. Jim was a family man; he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother and treated everyone like they were family. He loved watching sports, especially the Indianapolis Colts, IU Hoosiers and NASCAR, as he was a huge Jeff Gordon fan. Jim had a wonderful personality and was known for his kidding and (mostly) teasing.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Arbuckle; daughters, Dawn Moos and Beth (Dave) Lawler; son Brad (Michelle) Arbuckle; grandchildren Adam Moos, Allison Moos, Cassie Arbuckle, Kaitlyn Arbuckle and Jay Arbuckle; great-granddaughter Scarlett; special family, Nobbi, Arshi and Jesse Singh; sister Jane (Mac) McMurtrey; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Greg Moos.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hamilton County 4-H Council, Inc., 2003 Pleasant St., Noblesville, IN 46060.
