Fishers Police Dept. investigators arrested an Indianapolis man Feb. 4 in connection with the Feb. 3 armed robbery of the Village Pantry Gas Station at 96th Street and Lantern Road.

The Hamilton Co. Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a Village Pantry employee shortly before 10 p.m. Feb. 3. The employee reported two men had entered the store demanding money, with one of the men displaying a handgun. The employee was unharmed and the suspects fled the area in a light-colored passenger car believed to be driven by a third suspect.

A Lawrence Police Dept. officer observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle involved in the armed robbery shortly before 3 p.m. Feb. 4. The officer stopped the vehicle and detained the driver and Fishers investigators were able to positively identify him as one of the armed robbery suspects.

Fishers Police Chief George Kehl thanked the Lawrence Police Dept. for its assistance.

“Maintaining close working relationships with residents and neighboring law enforcement professionals is essential to keeping Fishers a safe place to live, work and play,” Kehl stated.

Adelrick Woods, 19, Indianapolis, was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton Co. Jail without incident. He was charged with robbery (a Level 3 felony), pointing a firearm (Level 6 felony), intimidation (Level 5 felony), theft (a misdemeanor) and carrying a firearm without a license (misdemeanor).
