Commentary by Amy Pauszek

“Where’s Amy?”  … I attended the private Open House and Tour of “The Great Indiana Songbook: Two Centuries of Hoosier Music” at the Palladium. This amazing new exhibit opened to the public on February 15th and celebrates the talented singers, songwriters and songs of Indiana. If you have not ventured up to the Songbook Gallery, I highly urge you to go and see all of these historical gems. You can also make an appointment to take a tour of the Songbook Archives and Library. I loved being surrounded by rare recordings, sheet music and photos from the past and present. We are so fortunate to have all of these significant and priceless pieces of art available free to view for the general public. This year, celebrate the Indiana Bicentennial by visiting and experiencing the best kept secret in town. Next time you ask “Where’s Amy?” – I will be at the Songbook Foundation’s new exhibit inside the beautiful Palladium. See you there – I promise you will love it!
