On Oct. 25, Carmel High School student government students will be hosting a free trick-or-treating event in the Freshman Center of CHS from 2 to 4 p.m.

All are welcome to wear costumes and visit over 18 trick-or-treat stations, each featuring an engaging activity for kids. Each station has an individual theme, ranging from Safari to Pirates to Mad Scientists. An optional haunted house is also included in the event. Parents can rest easy while Carmel High School students entertain the children in a safe, family-friendly environment to kick off the Halloween festivities.

Sarah Wolff, CHS House of Representatives faculty sponsor, said: “This a great event because it is so interactive. Our CHS students do such a great job engaging the children that attend. It is so much more than just Trick-or-treating.”

While this community event is completely free, the students are putting it on as a benefit for Riley Hospital for Children. Donations are encouraged and welcomed to support the CHS students in this endeavor.

Katie Tortorice, Riley patient and senior, said: “All donations are a huge help as we continue our fundraising efforts for Riley through Carmel Dance Marathon throughout the school year. We have been able to have such an impact on the families of Riley kids just like me.”
