R&B singer/songwriter  is back on the road and will make his Center for the Performing Arts debut in October.

Legend’s Bigger Love Tour, previously delayed by the pandemic, will land at Carmel’s Palladium at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Tickets starting at $96 will go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 6 at the Palladium Box Office, online at thecenterpresents.org and by phone at 317-843-3800.

The tour supports Legend’s 2020 album “Bigger Love,” which won Best R&B Album honors at the 2021 Grammy Awards. The event is part of the Center for the Performing Arts’ 2021-22 Center Presents Season sponsored by Allied Solutions.

One of the most versatile talents in American entertainment, Legend won three Grammys with his 2004 debut album, “Get Lifted,” and has distinguished himself as a singer, songwriter, record producer, actor and film producer. He received a 2018 Emmy nomination for his lead role in NBC’s “Jesus Christ Superstar” and won the award as a producer of the show, becoming one of only 16 people — and the first Black man — to win all four of the major American entertainment awards: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. In 2019, Legend joined NBC’s “The Voice” as a coach and was named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive.”

Legend’s appearance is among many 2021 Center Presents performances for which tickets will go on sale Aug. 6 for the first time as individual events. Tickets for the entire 2021-22 season are available through the purchase of a series subscription package.

Other performers recently added are Latin music vocalist Gilberto Santa Rosa (Oct. 16); Storm Large (Nov. 20); violinist Damien Escobar: 25 Days of Christmas (Dec. 16); and singer/actor Jordan Donica (Jan. 7, 2022).

Subscription packages offer up to 20 percent off standard pricing as well as early access to choice seats before single-event tickets go on sale to the general public. A Create Your Own series package requires choosing three events from the more than 40 performances already announced. Subscriptions and more information are available at thecenterpresents.org and by phone at 317-843-3800.
