Letter: City doesn’t need more sculptures

Editor,

I wasn’t sure if your recent article on purchasing more J. Seward Johnson statues at a tune of $350,000 was tongue in cheek or you were actually proud of our spendthrift mayor. I find it fiscally irresponsible in all honesty, and really unnecessary, kind of along the lines of the recent boom of apartments, as Carmel becomes the “clown car” at the circus. A hospital on every corner and we’re buying a roundabout to heaven!
