Hamilton County Artists’ Association will return to downtown Noblesville Aug. 4 with the annual Art Fair on the Square from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Approximately 35 vendors and juried artists will set up shop around the courthouse square. Artwork will be for sale.

“There are 35 booths in tents around the perimeter of the courthouse square,” HCAA President Kay Richards said. “Ninth Street will be closed so that people will be able to wander around better.”

Richards said art items range from pottery to jewelry to different types of painting.

“Everything is for sale, including the pottery, jewelry and textiles as well as the paintings,” Richards said. “It’s fantastic. I’ve seen some of the things they have done. I am familiar with these artists and it’s very high quality and really very interesting work.”

The Noblesville Cultural Arts Council also will have a tent.

“Noblesville Cultural Arts Council will have a tent representing all of the cultural organizations that we are uniting in the City of Noblesville,” Richards said. “They will have an individual tent with information about all of these cultural things, including theater, the parks department and what they are doing as far as art and also with concerts.”

The HCAA took over the event six years ago. It is free and open to the public.

“We encourage people to have a lovely morning at the farmers market and walk across the bridge and come see the beautiful artwork on the square,” Richards said.
