The 17th annual gala will begin at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at Ritz Charles, 12156 N. Meridian St. in Carmel.

“We expect about 400 guests. This event certainly can help fund our mission, but it also celebrates the good work we’ve done throughout the year,” said Jack Powell, Chaucie’s Place executive director.

The evening begins with a cocktail hour, silent auction and wine pull.

“We’re collecting various auction items from lots of different vendors that support our mission. We have sports consignments, destination trips—just a wide variety of items our constituents can bid on,” Powell said.

Dinner will begin at 6:45 p.m. The plated meal includes salad, a main entree and a trio of desserts.

“We’ll have a program that starts after dinner that will be an introduction or discussion about our mission and what we’ve accomplished over the course of the year,” Powell said.

After the live auction there will be a special appeal to dinner guests.

“We’ll then go into a funded need or a special appeal. This year’s special appeal involves our Lifelines Youth Suicide Prevention programming. Our goal is $12,000, which would put us in 20 additional schools for that program,” Powell said.

A cash bar will be available. Suggested dress is cocktail attire. Tickets are $75 per person and $875 for a table of 8. To purchase tickets, visit wedoauctions.net/tocgala/tickets?type=10617.
