Casey Arthur Heckman, 88, of Carmel passed away Feb. 16. Heckman was born on July 27, 1928, in South Bend, the son of the late Casimir and Carrie Hecklinski.
He was preceded in passing by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Heckman, and his sister, Beverly Buchfinck.
He is survived by brother, Robert Hecklinski of South Bend, brother-in-law Robert Taylor of Owensboro, Kentucky; daughters Patty (Terry) Ritter of Fort Wayne, Kay Heckman (Scott Jensen) of Eagan, Minn., son Mark (Chris) Heckman of Batesville; grandchildren Taylor (Amber) Heckman of Batesville, Meredith (Jefferson) Stewart and Kaylen Ritter of Muncie, and Costin Ritter of Indianapolis; and special friend Ellen Zonin of Zionsville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 20 at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 21 at Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church – Westfield.
