Library to host event on gerrymandering, HB 1014

Gerrymandering is the process of shifting electoral boundaries typically resulting in an advantage for one political party. In Indiana, several groups are working to end gerrymandering during the next statewide redistricting effort.

The Indiana General Assembly is considering HB1014, which would determine how the upcoming redistricting commission is selected and how it will be instructed to operate.
