Obituary: Andrew Francis Marciniak

Andrew Francis Marciniak, 64, Noblesville, died May 25 in Carrollton, Ga. He was born June 12, 1951 to Henry and Helen “Busia” (Koziol) Marciniak in Annapolis, Md.

Andy graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and for 30 years worked as a pathologist and led a nuclear medicine lab at Anderson Community Hospital. He was a long-time member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Andy loved, more than anything, spending time with family and friends. He was always organizing family reunions and vacations to spend with his loved ones. Andy loved his job, playing and watching golf, traveling, cooking and IU basketball.

He is survived by daughter Emily (Weyman) Rooks of Carrollton, Ga., son Alexander Marciniak of Indianapolis, grandchildren Rachel, Rebekah, Atticus, Grayson and Asa Rooks (coming in July), all of Carrollton, Ga., siblings Paul Marciniak, Thomas (Chi-Ho) Marciniak, Michael Marciniak (Susan Schwartz), Mary (Kamlash) Lulla, Eugene (Jennifer) Marciniak, Christine Hermann, Kathleen (Thomas) Burkett and Robert (Cathy) Marciniak, several brothers- and sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as multiple friends.

In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue (Ewald) Marciniak Sept. 14, 2009, and brother, Henry Marciniak, Jr.
