After a soft opening on May 28, Rush on Main, 112 North Main Street, is officially open for business with steady traffic each day according to co-owner Johnny Vargo.
“We had a great crowd,” he said. “It wasn’t overwhelming for the staff.”
Vargo said that he wanted employees to be comfortable with the menu and restaurant before fully advertising the opening. The restaurant serves Chicago-style food with Italian beef sliced on site. Hot dogs, burgers, salads and sandwiches round out the menu.
The restaurant will open at 11 a.m. daily, closing at “11ish” Sunday through Thursday and “1ish” on Friday and Saturday.
“We don’t want to see Main Street as a ghost town on Sundays and Mondays,” said Vargo, who added that he wants families to be able to find dining options any night of the week and sports fans to have a place to watch games on Sundays.
