The public is invited to join the Noblesville Parks Dept. this year as they visit several popular destinations in Indiana and a new one through its annual bus trips. Reserve your spot early and join the fun on the following trips:
Friday, March 25: French Lick Winery & Casino. Join the Parks Dept. on this trip to French Lick, Ind. The trip will include a wine tasting and wine glass at the French Lick Winery as well as free time to spend shopping or at the casino. Cost is $50 per person. The bus will leave Forest Park Inn at 8:30 a.m. and will return at approximately 9 p.m.
Tuesday, May 24: Shipshewana Flea Market. Put on your walking shoes and get ready to search for great bargains at the Shipshewana Flea Market. Cost is $46 per person. The bus will leave Forest Park Inn at 7:30 a.m. and will return at approximately 8 p.m.
Friday, July 29: Tall Ships Chicago. Enjoy plenty of summer fun at Chicago’s Navy Pier, a top leisure destination in the Midwest. Navy Pier also will be host to more than 15 majestic vessels that allow visitors the chance to get up close and personal with the Tall Ships. Cost is $50 per person. The bus will leave Forest Park Inn at 7 a.m. and will return at approximately 10 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 9: Southeast Indiana Quilt Expo. Enjoy a day in Rising Sun, Ind. where you can learn more about quilting or enjoy gambling inside the Rising Sun Casino, which is hosting the expo. More than 30 vendors from across the country will be available along with classes and lectures by local and well-known quilting artists at the event. Cost is $50 per person. The bus will leave Forest Park Inn at 8 a.m. and will return at approximately 8 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 26: Brown County shopping. Enjoy the beautiful fall foliage as you shop the quaint shops in downtown Nashville, Ind. Cost is $40 per person. The bus will leave Forest Park Inn at 8:30 a.m. and will return at approximately 6 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 3: Christmas Shopping in Chicago. This trip is always sells out, so mark your calendar now. Cost is $50 per person, and registrations will be accepted beginning on Thursday, Sept. 1. The bus will leave Forest Park Inn at 7 a.m. and will return at approximately 11 p.m.
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Registrations are now being accepted for all trips except for the December Chicago shopping trip. Pre-registration is required and recommended no later than two weeks prior to the trip as long as seats are still available. If the parks department does not have the required number of participants for a trip by the deadline, the trip will be cancelled and fees will be refunded.
