The Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show that was scheduled to run from August 4 – 9, 2015 has been cancelled due to treacherous rain and severe weather conditions. The property that sets as a venue to exhibitors, vendors and patrons, has been compromised due to severe flooding as a result of the recent inclement weather. The drainage systems throughout the property have been compromised due the atypical rainfall amounts and the grounds are saturated with standing water. The TPHCHS organizers had consulted with experts on the condition and stability of the grounds and after extensive deliberations and expert opinions, the organizers have decided to make the safety and welfare of its patrons, exhibitors and vendors, their priority.

With heavy hearts, the TPHCHS announces that all events that were scheduled throughout the week of August 4 – 9, 2015 have been cancelled without further delay.

“We appreciate the support and guidance of our local officials and experts when it came to assessing the damage from the previous storms and making this difficult decision,” Janelle Morrison, the spokesperson for TPHCHS expressed. “On behalf of Debra Jaramillo, our Executive Director, our TPHCHS committee and the Johnson family, we are heartbroken to take this course of action but are dedicated to the safety of our participants and spectators. We are grateful for the support of our fellow committee members who have worked tirelessly to organize this year’s show and to our sponsors for their steadfast support as well. It is because of everyone’s level of dedication that this show has been a successful event and fundraiser for 37 years.”
