At the end of March, Bailey and Wood Financial Group, a residential and mortgage loan business, expanded with adding a location in Fishers at 9646 Allisonville Rd.
“The main reason we went to Fishers is we want to soak up more business on the north side,” said Mike Spencer, the Fishers branch sales manager. “All of our offices are on the south side.”
In addition to getting a wider range of business, Spencer also said that many of the referral partners were from the north side.
“We thought the economy was in a fantastic spot in Fishers,” Spencer said.
Bailey and Wood Financial Group is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday. Saturday and Sunday are for appointment only, and the number to make an appointment is 845-9344.
Spencer started with Bailey and Wood about a year ago, when they began looking at opening up more offices on the north side.
Spencer said he hopes in about a year or two the new business will already outgrow the location and search for more north side spots. They hope to double in size and will look for a good location as far north as Anderson.
“Business has been fantastic,” Spencer said. “We’ve been out joining the chamber, getting to know other referral choices on the north side, and getting our name out there.”
Spencer said that their location at 96th and Allisonville has provided for great traffic past the building.

“Our slogan is that we close loans faster and for less,” Spencer said. “All of our processes and underwritings are all done in house which allows us speed to hit everybody’s closing dates.”
