The Plum Creek Ladies League hosted a Rally for the Cure® Golf Event on July 30th.  Over $21,000 was raised which will benefit the central Indiana affiliate of Susan G. Komen.  The event boasted 120 pink-clad lady golfers and over 140 sponsors and donors, most of whom are local.  This year’s event was by far the largest Rally event ever hosted by Plum Creek.  Participants competed in a crazy hat decorating contest, as well as the usual golf-outing contests.

“The event was a huge success.  It was a special day, and it brought together our members and the community for an important cause.  We’re thrilled to see the $21,000 we raised go to work right here in central Indiana!” said  Leslie Wilson, Ladies League Chair, Plum Creek Golf Club.

Since 1996, Susan G. Komen has received over $75 million from Rally events which educates and spreads awareness about the importance of early detection and also supports research, screening and treatment programs at the local level.
