I am writing to express my concern and general disgust regarding the “Dress Code” (or lack thereof) at Carmel High School. I drive by the school every day after dropping off my children at their elementary school and I cannot believe the clothing that the students are allowed to wear. I saw one young lady last week with a shirt longer than her shorts. I cannot believe that the administration at CHS does not crack down on this display of skin. I understand that students should be allowed to express themselves, but showing your rear-end and cleavage is not the appropriate way to do that. It is my hope that by the time my children attend Carmel High School this will no longer be an issue – dare I bring up the option of uniforms?
