Carmel resident publishes seventh book
Local author, Donya Lynne, released her new novel, Good Karma, book one of her exciting new contemporary erotic romance trilogy, Strong Karma, the week of July 28, 2014.
Ms. Lynne, a graduate of Center Grove High School in Johnson County, has already established a name for herself within the paranormal romance genre with her award-winning All the King’s Men Series, which has received numerous accolades, including a gold IPPY, a silver IPPY, and gold and silver eLit Awards.
In Good Karma, Donya drew on the local areas of Carmel and Indianapolis, utilizing such landmark locations as St. Elmo’s, Circle Center Mall, Lucas Oil Stadium, Monument Circle, Brown Country, and Greek Tony’s in Carmel, to develop her fictional town of Clover, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis.
“I needed a locale that was within driving distance of Chicago, and I thought Indianapolis was perfect,” Ms. Lynne said. “It was important for me to pay homage to some of my favorite places, as well as those that central Indiana and Indianapolis, in particular, are known for. This created a feeling of place in the story. I wanted to bring a local touch to my novel to make the setting more real.”
Good Karma, as well as the entire Strong Karma Trilogy, is a contemporary erotic romance following Mark Strong and Karma Mason, two characters burdened with emotional baggage, who embark on a romantic journey that shows the emotional evolution of the heart and soul and proves that no matter how hard we fight fate, what is meant to be will be.
