Kimberly Jayne Jowitt, 58, of Noblesville died July 27, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. Born Aug. 2, 1955 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of David Morley and Jayne (Whitehouse) Berger.

She was a graduate of Heritage Christian School and the IU Kelley School of Business. In 1978, she began her 37-year career with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Dept., becoming a Merit Officer in 1982. She was the first female officer, first female investigator and first female supervisor for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Dept. She was a member of FOP No. 103 Francis Castor Lodge, and Golden Key International, and an avid gardener.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Jowitt; daughter, Crystal Marr; sisters, Jennifer Boots and Dawn Morley; half-sister, Sue Good; and step-father, Max Berger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Celeste O’Neil; and grandmother, Virginia Houston.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 1 at White River Christian Church, 1685 N. 10th St., Noblesville, with the Rev. Tim Brock officiating. Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. July 31at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. A private burial will follow the service in Martinsville.
