Melchior Marionettes from Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio coming to Carmel City Center


Carmel City Center will be hosting a free children’s event featuring the Melchior Marionettes from Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio on Wednesday, August 1st at 10 a.m. It will be held in the storefront at 719 Hanover Place on the interior of Carmel City Center, located on the southwest corner of City Center Drive and Rangeline Road. The half hour puppet show will be followed by a puppet-making workshop for the first 40 attendees to register at or by phone to Caitlin Parten at (317) 705-7985. The public is invited to attend this free event.

The show will be “The Comedy Cabaret on Strings” performed by Heidi from Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio. This fast moving musical variety show highlights many talented characters such as a trumpet playing kangaroo, a monkey on a trapeze and an octopus who specializes in the hokey pokey. It is appropriate for all ages but especially for children ages 2-10. The Melchior Marionettes was founded in the early 1950’s and is now in its 3rd generation.

Surface parking is available on plaza level (accessible from City Center Drive), in the underground garage (accessible from Rangeline Road) and along Veterans Way located to the south of Carmel City Center.
