Magic Thread Cabaret has announced three shows for The Cat Theatre in Carmel for the 2019 season.
In November 2017, Dustin Klein and Tom Alvarez debuted Magic Thread Cabaret. It is fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas, a New York-based nonprofit technology company that provides business tools for artists. Current Publishing serves as the media sponsor.
The first show at The Cat, 254 Veterans Way, “Cory Lingner: Just a Dancer,” is set for March 29 to 31. Linger, a University High School graduate, has performed most recently on Broadway in “Carousel.” He previously appeared in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “An American in Paris” and “On the Town.”
“Bill Book: It’s a Most Unusual Day” is set for May 31 to June 2. Book recently appeared in “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” and in “Billy Elliot” for BOBDIREX and was King Arthur in “Spamalot!”
The third show at The Cat will be “Singing Streisand: An Evening with Brynn Kathryn Tyszka,” which is set for Oct. 11 to 13 Tyszka, who moved to Carmel from Rochester, N.Y., has performed with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir and Actors Theatre of Indiana. She’s toured nationally with NETworks and ArtsPower and has played iconic roles such as Sally Bowles in “Cabaret” and the Witch in “Into the Woods.”
The Magic Thread Cabaret will present “Les Chanteuses” at IndyFringe Festival in downtown Indianapolis in August.
