Ellie Brown, lead singer of the band The Janeways, kicks off the music for the Zionsville Street Dance at 6:30 p.m. (Photos by Kiersten Reidford) For the first hour, many residents enjoyed dinner in a local restaurant or were setting up their chairs before the main band began their set. Throughout the night, kids gathered at the front of the crowd to show off their moves. Zionsville residents of all ages attended the event and danced throughout the streets. Ezra White, 6, and Zara White, 4, danced with their umbrellas in the street as rain began to pour on the event attendees. Mike Notaro, lead vocalist and guitarist for Mike and Joe, a modern rock cover band, kicks off the band's set list around 8 p.m. Attendees recorded videos throughout the night, some even hosting Facebook live streams.
