Westfield Lions Club launches new fundraiser in lieu of poker tournaments

The Westfield Lions Club is conducting a new fundraiser to raise money for the Heart and Soul Free Clinic.

The Westfield Lions Club traditionally conducts two poker tournaments a year, which are the club’s main fundraisers. But they could not be conducted this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In lieu of the poker tournaments, the club is selling fresh fruit in conjunction with Florida Indian River Groves.

Available products include mandarins, pink grapefruit, navel oranges, apples and marmalade.

The fundraiser will be one of the club’s major fundraisers this year. The sale ends March 19. Shipping is $6.95 per box, regardless of weight. Orders will be shipped between March 29 and April 11. The fruit can be shipped anywhere in the United States.

All funds raised will go to Westfield’s Heart and Soul Free Clinic, whose mission is to provide the highest quality health care to uninsured and underinsured people in central Indiana, regardless of their social, cultural or economic status.
