Officials from Clay Township, the City of Carmel and the Carmel Fire Dept. broke ground Oct. 13 on a building to house CFD headquarters, a museum, community gathering space and the Survive Alive Village experience for children. The new five-story building on Veterans Way is funded as part of Clay Township’s $60 million park and public safety improvement initiative announced in 2019. The building is set to be complete in the fall of 2021. (Photos by Ann Marie Shambaugh)
