ISDH reports additional 671 COVID-19 cases


The Indiana State Dept. of Health today announced 671 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing to 76,522 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the new coronavirus, following corrections to the previous day.

A total of 2,878 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19, an increase of 15 since yesterday. Another 208 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data is received by the ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

As of today, more than 34 percent of ICU beds and nearly 82 percent of ventilators are available across the state.

To date, 866,994 tests for unique individuals have been reported to the ISDH, up from 861,655 Tuesday.
