Deer jumps through window at Hinkle Creek


A deer shattered glass when it leapt through a hallway window at Hinkle Creek Elementary School, 595 S. Harbour Dr., on the afternoon of Nov. 4. The school resource officer responded immediately, and students and staff were placed on a lock-down to ensure they remained in their rooms. School staff were able to direct the deer out the front doors. The deer then ran into the nearby woods. No students or staff were harmed during the incident.
