The speed limit on South Union Street from 171st Street (South Street) north until Ind. 32 is 20 mph. It’s not just on school days, or during school hours, or any other random occasion. It’s 20 mph all the time, all day long.
Along that short stretch of road, there are apartments, private residences, churches, businesses, a city park and a private school that teaches kindergarteners through college. It may not look like your neighborhood, but rest assured it is just that, and we would appreciate you obeying the law as you are coming and going. There are no less than four or five speed limit signs to remind you.
