Zionsville Fire Dept. responds to Hunters Point apartment fire

At approximately 2:58 p.m. July 21, the Zionsville Fire Dept. was dispatched on a report of a smoke investigation at 241 Hunters Trail in Zionsville. Upon arrival, crews discovered smoke coming from a second-floor apartment due to a fire.

The fire was under control in 10 minutes, and the damage was limited to one apartment. Damage is estimated at $50,000.

The residents were in the process of moving into the apartment, but they were not present at the time of the fire. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Assisting agencies included Whitestown Fire Dept. and Pike Township Fire Dept.
