Chinese Mooncake Festival postponed

The Chinese Mooncake Festival, which was set for Sept. 8 outside the Indiana Design Center in Carmel, has been postponed to a later date due to the heavy rain forecast as this event was to take place outside.

The news of a rescheduled date should be announced soon.

The IU Health North Second Saturday Gallery Walk will continue as planned with much of the activities take place in the galleries.  The scavenger hunt will begin from inside All Things Carmel, musicians will move inside Hoosier Salon, Indiana Artisan and Magdalena’s.

However, due to a forecast of heavy rains throughout the day, the hot glass activity will move from 2nd Avenue NW to the covered walkway from 2nd Avenue NW into Sophia Square. This walkway is between Scotty’s and Pad Thai restaurants. Registration is nearing a sellout, but walk-ups will be accommodated if available. Glass forming will take place from 2 to 9 p.m. Those interested should contact Gallery Walk Glass Forming September 2018 on to register.
