Just before noon July 31, the Noblesville Fire Dept. responded to a residence fire in the Cumberland Pointe subdivision near Ind. 37 and Greenfield Avenue.
Residents of the home reported they had safely evacuated before crews arrived.
The NFD said the first units on scene encountered heavy smoke conditions and limited visibility but were able to quickly advance a hose line to the side entrance of the house and extinguish the fire before it could spread.
Damage from the fire is estimated at $30,000. The NFD was assisted by the Noblesville Police Dept. and Fishers Fire Dept.
