Krall, Miller set Palladium shows

The Center for the Performing Arts officials have added jazz star Diana Krall and comedian Dennis Miller will perform at The Palladium in Carmel.

Miller’s performance is set for 8 p.m. May 18. Miller, a standup comic, actor and talk show host, who once served as anchor on Weekend Update on “Saturday Night Live.”  His HBO show “Dennis Miller Live” won five Emmy awards. Miller also wrote the New York Times bestsellers “The Rants,” “Ranting Again,” “I Rant, Therefore I Am” and “The Rant Zone” and had a stint as color commentator on Monday Night Football. Tickets start at $35.

Pianist-singer Krall and her band are continuing a world tour in support of her album “Turn Up the Quiet.”  The performance is set 8 p.m. June 8. The album features interpretations of Great American Songbook classics from Cole Porter and Johnny Mercer. Krall is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. She has earned five Grammy Awards. Tickets start at $50.
