Noblesville School Board member Gary Wayne Duvall, 70, Noblesville, died Jan. 22 at Riverview Hospital. He was born July 10, 1946, to Arnold L. and Anita “Imogene” (Sherley) Duvall in Noblesville. His father preceded him in death.

Gary was a 1965 graduate of Noblesville High School and a graduate of the Indiana Business College. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Noblesville School Board since 2012, Noblesville Backers, Senior Citizens, Inc., Noblesville Kiwanis Club and Noblesville Lions Club. Gary was an avid volunteer in the Noblesville School system for the past 10 years, tutoring young elementary school children with reading and math. He coached many local youth in baseball and basketball over the years and gave of his time announcing junior varsity and freshmen football games. Gary was a lifelong fixture of the Noblesville community working at Don Hinds Ford, Hare Chevrolet, as owner of Duvall Auto Sales, FC Tucker Real Estate, Snelling Real Estate and Ayer’s Real Estate.

Gary loved supporting his Noblesville Millers in all sporting events and was once selected Miller basketball fan of the year. He was passionate about Notre Dame Football and basketball and the Indiana Pacers. Gary received the most joy and satisfaction from being a loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children, Mike (fiancée Kimberly Childers) Duvall, Gary (Alyssa) Duvall and Andrew (Chelsea) Duvall, grandchildren Alex, Madison, Emma, Owen, Macie, Carly and Lexianne, brother Jim (Lynette) Duvall, sisters Vanessa (John) Benaugh, Shirley (Dale) Bryant and Nancy (Bill) Geringer and many nieces and nephews.

“Gary had an incredible heart for Noblesville and he wanted the best for our kids,” Julia Kozicki, president of the Noblesville School Board, stated. “He was a passionate supporter of Miller athletics, attending and following Noblesville Schools sports on a regular basis. We appreciate his service to the school board and the community, and will miss him deeply.”

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 27 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 9900 E. 191st St., Noblesville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 26 at Randall and Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Burial will be at Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia, Ind.
