Due to 106th Street bridge construction, Interstate 69 will temporarily close up to three lanes each direction beginning overnight Oct. 24 and ending the night of Oct. 27 and morning of Oct. 28, according to a press release from the Indiana Dept. of Transportation.

Lane closures will occur during 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. near mile 204, and additional lane closures are scheduled for the following weeks. The construction-zone speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph and may be reduced to 45 mph during working hours.

During the closures, crews will be removing temporary overhang platforms used during the construction of the bridge decks, pouring concrete walls on the bridges, and painting bridge beams.
