The first Body Sculpting Med Spa has opened in Carmel.
Body Sculpting Med Spa utilizes SculpSure technology, a hyperthermic laser fat reduction procedure, which has been FDA-approved since 2014.
Stacey Churchill, CEO and owner of Body Sculpting Med Spa, said SculpSure is the hottest and newest fat reduction procedure on the market.
Churchill said she most often gets questions about how SculpSure differs from CoolSculpting. CoolSculptiing is a more well-known and older form of fat reduction using a fat-freezing procedure. SculpSure and CoolScupting differ in several ways, including treatment time, technology, cost and adverse effects.
According to the Body Sculpting Med Spa website, the treatment time using SculpSsure is 25 minutes using up to four simultaneous applicators, and SculpSure can produce permanent fat pocket reduction of 25 percent in six weeks to three months. The website also reports that treated fat cells are permanently eliminated and will not regenerate, allowing the patient to sculpt their body into their desired shape.
SculpSure uses an FDA-cleared Laser Diode-based Themolipolysus technology to contour the body and reduce fat. According to the Body Sculpting Med Spa website, no adverse effects have been reported with the use of SculpSure.
Churchill, a SculpSure user and SculpSure technician, said she has always been an entrepreneur.
“We love new things,” Churchill said. “I’m not going to be passionate about something unless it works.”
Churchill said the most popular shape for women using SculpSure is the hourglass shape.
“There’s no downtime in this procedure,” Churchill said. “That’s the beauty behind this device.”
