Frieda Mae Lawson, 73, Noblesville, died June 16 at her home. She was born July 16, 1942 to Oliver and Vivian (Haverkos) Hammerle in Whitestown, Ind.

Frieda was a loving mother, a terrific grandma and a devoted Catholic at Our Lady of Grace Church in Noblesville. She was also a champion bowler and a winner in every bingo hall in Hamilton County. Frieda retired from Indiana Farmers’ Insurance after a 25-year career in personal lines insurance. Her other hobbies included crossword puzzles, monthly dinners at the Noblesville Senior Center, riding her bicycle and, most recently, fishing.

Frieda is survived by daughters Carmel (Kevin) Dotson and Joyce (Ron) Stewart and eight grandchildren, Chris Dotson, Tony Dotson, Spencer Nieten, Katie Coffman, James Dotson, Megan Smith, Jordan Nieten and Allie Stewart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony “the Tiger” Lawson and son Tony Spencer.

Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. June 20 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Rd., Noblesville. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. June 21 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 9900 E. 191st St., Noblesville, with the Rev. Peter Logsdon officiating. Burial followed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 929 E. Washington St., Lebanon.
