The National Bank of Indianapolis held a ribbon cutting ceremony June 1 for its new branch in Carmel General Manager Holli Ford of NBI Hazel Dell and NBI Investment Officer AJ Hillebrand spoke to what sets their bank apart.

Customer Service. “(It’s) what we offer and what we stand for. We are local, all of our decisions are made in Indianapolis,” Ford said.

Community Involvement. “I think since we are in Marion County and the surrounding counties it is important. Whether it’s volunteering for the Geist Marathon or Carmel Marathon, it is important (to) help with the organizations that those are involved with,” Hillebrand said.

Nonprofits are a focus. “The number of nonprofits we work with is very large compared to other banks,” Hillebrand said.

We do what’s right for the client. “We are not divided up in categories for goals. We work as a team. We all have one goal. We are not sales driven; we are customer service driven,” Ford said.  “No one in the bank is on commission,” Hillebrand said.

Our execution. “All decisions are made locally. A strong majority of our shareholders are local,” Hillebrand said. “They did several years of research before they made their decision to be located here,” Ford said.
