A. Ruth Albro, 92, Noblesville, died May 22 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born Aug. 29, 1923 to Fred and Lydia (Bartels) Erb in Fort Wayne.
Ruth worked as a nurse for more than 40 years, and after retirement, she loved volunteering at Riverview Hospital. Ruth was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Ellen (Dave) Gill, daughter-in-law Sandy (Steve) Sheets, five grandchildren, Jennifer Gill, Matthew Albro, Amanda Giesler, Ben Albro, and Brad Albro, as well as three great-grandchildren and two more on the way.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Frederick W. Albro, and great-granddaughter Faith Albro.
