Robert Eugene Gatewood, 89, Noblesville, died April 29 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born May 25, 1926 to Arthur and Mary (Heiny) Gatewood in Hamilton Co. Robert was retired from Delco-Remy and has also been a lifetime farmer. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran.
He is survived by his son, Joel Gatewood, and his wife, Kit; daughter Donna Gatewood Brooks; brother Arthur Gatewood Jr; half-brother Wilson Gatewood; and granddaughter Amanda Kline.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Virgin, and his former wife, Wanda.
