Noble Order Brewing Company celebrated its official grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 8.

After an initial April Fool’s Day opening, the owners decided to briefly close to regroup and hire additional staff.

“With us closing four days it was letting us get the kinks worked out,” Director of Operations Sean Webster said.

Craft beer and wine are currently being served; cider and mead will be added to the menu soon to ensure the staff are prepared for the beverage variety.

“I want to make sure the people we’ve hired can take care of (customers) the best way possible,” Webster said.

The craft beer lineup will likely change with the weather or may be customized to local events such as the Street Dance or July 4 activities.

“We’re seeing what works and what doesn’t,” Webster said.

Whitestown resident Frank Rago was one of many customers glad that the doors were officially open.

“This is the product that I’ve been looking for in this area that I haven’t been able to get,” he said.

“There’s been an outpouring of warm, generous support,” said co-owner Mike Miller during the ribbon cutting ceremony officially bringing a brewery back to Boone County for the first time in nearly 150 years. “We look forward to all the things we can bring to the community.”

The brewery will be open daily closing at 10 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays. Thursdays they are open until 11 a.m. and Friday and Saturday they close at midnight but will stay open late for major sporting events. Carryout includes growlers and four packs, and wine is available Monday through Saturday. While food is not served, owners encourage customers to bring their own food or order from local restaurants.
