Patricia Ann Landis Hayes Wood, 82, Noblesville, died Jan. 3. She was born July 20, 1933 to Elsworth and Florence Berniece (Armstrong) Landis in Noblesville. Pat greatly appreciated the love of her step-father, Paul Hayes.

Pat was a lifelong resident of Noblesville and graduated from Noblesville High School in 1951. She attended Union United Methodist Church in Noblesville. She worked many years as bookkeeper for Essig Brothers Western Auto in Noblesville, and for the Hamilton Co. Auditor’s Office as a deputy clerk in the land mapping and transfer office. Pat was an avid antique enthusiast and did antiquing most of her married life. She had several different antique booths in Noblesville. Pat loved to go to lunch with her cousins and her many friends. She was very thankful for her wonderful friend and neighbor of many years, Rose Harger. Pat told others Rose was like the sister she never had. Pat enjoyed going to Florida on her annual vacation. She greatly enjoyed her last trip to Florida in September with her daughter, LeAnn and son, Patrick. She also enjoyed her trip of a lifetime to Hawaii with her husband, Bill.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Paul William Wood, in 2005. Pat and Bill were married for 53 wonderful years, and had three children who Pat considered her greatest joy: Paula Kim (Terry) Coomer, LeAnn (Brent) Arrant and Patrick (Michele) Wood. Pat loved her grandchildren, Teresa Steege, Jennifer Maruszewski, Lauren Hall, Sam Wood, Kara Kennedy and Elizabeth Kennedy; and adored her great grandchildren, Zoe Steege, Nella and Lilliuanna Maruszewski, Kaylin Gill, Xzavior Clayton and Quintin Kennedy. Pat is also survived by many extended family members.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Prairie Lakes Health Campus for their kindness and care, and also Dr. Agnes Schrader, Dr. Ruemu Birhiray, and Dr. Tetrick.
