A local dentist practicing in Fishers has recently been selected as one of 2015’s outstanding dentists by topDentists, LLC. In addition, Dr. Julie Stante, who serves patients in Fishers, Geist, Indianapolis and Noblesville, was featured in the December edition of Indianapolis Monthly in its annual section of Top Dentist.

“This is truly an honor to be voted as a top dentist for 2015,” Stante said. “I’m also humbled in being recognized by Indianapolis Monthly for this celebrated vote of confidence. My staff and I are committed more than ever to providing the best and most advanced, personalized dental care for our patients throughout the Indianapolis area.”

The selection process for being an outstanding dentist is an annual award designed by topDentists, LLC. General practice dentists and special dentists are asked to vote for their peers they have worked with. Stante said she has participated in the voting since she has been eligible to vote.

“They do it every year,” Stante said. “We’ll sign a ballot and the general dentists will vote for the specialists and the specialists will vote for the general dentists. It was very exciting and very flattering. I’ve voted for my peers every year and to actually get this award felt really rewarding.”

Five prequalifications are considered in order for dentists to be eligible to participate including years of experience, continuing education, patient experience, use of new techniques and technology and course physical results. The nomination pool must currently be members of the American Dental Association or local dentist societies.

Stante has been practicing dentistry for 20 years with 13 being spent in the Fishers area. She specializes in general dentistry and temporomandibular joint therapy.

“Part of my practice deals with TMJ pain,” she said. “I’m a general dentist and general practice but I love both facets and it helps me just care for my patients.”
