Indiana Blood Center Expands ‘Bleed Blue Blood Drive’ Across Indiana

The Indiana Blood Center is expanding the annual Bleed Blue Blood Drive into its donor centers across Indiana in late December. Participants will receive a regulation-sized Colts football featuring Anthony Castonzo, while supplies last.

Now in its 16th year, the Bleed Blue Blood Drive is a partnership with the Indianapolis Colts that traditionally brings more than 5,000 donors to Indiana Blood Center each December, a time when blood supplies become low due to the busy holiday season.

The kick-off of the Bleed Blue Blood Drive at Lucas Oil Stadium on December 12 brought more than 1,600 participants. The Bleed Blue blood drives continue throughout the month at 11 Indiana Blood Center locations.

Appointments are encouraged as openings to donate fill up quickly. To schedule an appointment, .
