No time to hit the liquor store before the big game or party? Drizly provides a solution.

The on-demand alcohol delivery service was launched in the Indianapolis market one year ago.

“We saw a great response from consumers,” said Kerin Hogan, a spokesperson for Drizly. “For the last six months, we looked at how we can expand into the suburbs of Indianapolis. We partner with local retailers like Big Red Liquors to have alcohol delivery to your home in less than an hour.”

Hogan is helping to launch scheduled delivery in 15 other Indianapolis-area communities, including Noblesville, Westfield and Zionsville.

You can place an order on Drizly.com or the app for delivery for Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

“They’ll pick a time window that’s easiest for them,” Hogan said. “Say you are hosting a party on Friday night, but you are busy at work and don’t have time to stop at the liquor store. You can buy a few bottles of wine and have them meet you there when you get home.”

Westfield is the only new community that will have on-demand and scheduled delivery.

Hogan said they are adding on three new Big Red Liquors stores that will help delivery.

“We’re not taking away business from a liquor store, we are helping them grow,” Hogan said. “Their inventory is uploaded through the Drizly site so anything you can buy in a Big Red store, you can get on Drizly.com or the app for the same price.”

Hogan said a costumer puts in their address, and it will tell which exact store will make the delivery.

Hogan said the scheduled delivery is needed because it may not possible to deliver within an hour in the suburbs, as opposed to city where people are living closer together and to the story.

“As demands grows, we’ll think about rolling out on-demand delivery (each day),” Hogan said.
