For the past eight months Tilly’s Tearoom has made quite a name for itself in the city. Now, the English-themed restaurant has plans to relocate to a new building, but Tilly’s Tearoom owner Sharon Moore want’s her current clientele to rest assured that Tilly’s will remain in Fishers.

“Fishers has been so great to us,” Moore said. “We’re only eight months old and the support that we’ve received from the Fishers community has been great. I was originally going to locate in Westfield and a lot of people ask me why I don’t, but we’ve such a nice following in Fishers. It’s been so welcoming and receptive that we’d like to stay.”

Moore is currently finalizing plans for a new building, but the move could be as far away as March 2016.

“We are hoping to relocate in January, but it may be February or March. We have no set date for when we will definitely move,” Moore said. “We have a property that we have found but we are still sorting out the red tape with the city in turning it into something that is viable for restaurant usage, so we are currently in negotiations with the property. Hopefully we will have that signed in the next three to four weeks.”

In the mean time, Tilly’s will be fully operational till at least the end of the year.

“The plan is that we are definitely in here until the New Year, so all of our parties are all going ahead as planned,” Moore said. “We are booking up fast so you still need to make reservations for those times.”

When the time for the transition does come, Moore said Tilly’s will only be closed for a few days and that the new building will still hold the original Tearoom atmosphere.

“It will still be in an old home so it will still have the Tilly’s Tearoom feel,” Moore said. “We’re hoping to get the new place signed, get the build out and I will transition straight out of this location into the new location. We will only be closed for a minimal time period, so hopefully four or five days.”
