Carmel High School graduate Prakriti Bhargava, 22, was crowned 2016 Indy International Festival queen Nov. 5 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. She is the daughter of Atul and Reeta Bhargava of Carmel.
Bhargava will serve as an ambassador of goodwill for the Nationalities Council of Indiana, the organization that sponsors the pageant.
