Westfield man dies due to injuries from Noblesville crash

After the Sept. 26 motorcycle and car collision on 156th Street and Boden Road, an update from the Noblesville Police Dept. stated that Jack Spears, of Westfield, died from his injuries on Sept. 30.

Spears was the driver of the motorcycle, with Andy Coy, of Fishers, the driver of the car. Coy and one passenger of the car were treated for minor injuries, with the other passenger of the car treated at the scene.

According to NPD, Coy was traveling westbound on 156th Street with Spears traveling southbound on Boden Road. There are no stop signs on Boden Road, yet there are stop signs on the 156th Street portions of the intersection. The crash occurred when Coy pulled out in front of Spears’ motorcycle.

Spears was at I.U. Health Methodist in Indianapolis to be treated for his “critical” condition until Sept. 30 when he died.

An investigation regarding the crash is still ongoing.
