Audrey J. Rosa, 88, of Fishers, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 with her children at her side. She was born on November 17, 1926 to Hawley and Edna (Bond) Gardner in Connersville, Indiana.
Audrey was a graduate of Richmond High School and Miami University. She was an Indianapolis Washington Township Elementary Art teacher until her retirement. Audrey was active in her church, Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, bible study groups, and her card group. She most enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Audrey is survived by her two children, Deborah (& Forrest) Held of Lafayette, and Jim (& Elaine) Rosa of Noblesville; four grandchildren, Alison (& Jeffrey) Gardner, Garrett Held (& Gretchen Blomeke), Jamie Rosa, and Lindsay Rosa; two great-grandchildren, William and Benjamin Gardner; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by William, her husband of 60 years.
Friends may call at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 17, 2015, and the 3:00 pm funeral service will follow at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers.
